"Happily use Ogilvie again and recommend them for survey work"

"As part of a cycleway feasibility study in Edinburgh, Loys undertook a detailed survey of over 30,000 sqm that included roads, park areas, woodland and one section of railway.

The railway survey was critical for determining overhead electrification line positions and heights as well as detailing the general arrangement of the railway lines and other existing infrastructure relative to the position of a proposed new bridge.

Overall we were very happy with the level of service delivered by Loys. The survey undertaken by Loys at night was well organised and coordinated with us and with Network Rail. The final information provided was of high quality and was essential for in informing the bridge position and height.

We would happily use Loys again and recommend Loys for survey work of network rail infrastructure."

"Professional, reliable and highly competent"

"As part of the Edinburgh to Glasgow Improvement Programme (EGIP) Advanced Works Project BAM Nuttall on behalf of Network Rail constructed a new 2-span road over rail bridge in planned stages at Larbert Station whilst the existing structure was still in position. The new structure had piled foundations that were within the track support zone and required track monitoring with associated site constraint challenges as a result of track curvature and site hoarding. Despite speaking to survey companies synonymous and specialising in this type of work; Loy Surveys/Ogilvie Geomatics presented unique solutions to overcome the challenges and upon Contract Award their staff were professional, reliable, highly competent and a valued team member throughout the duration of their Contract. I would have no hesitation in using Loy Surveys / Ogilvie Geomatics in the future."

"Overnight working met our needs"

Northern Ireland Railways (NIR) engaged Loy Surveys through a competitive tender exercise to produce a topographical rail survey associated with the new Belfast Hub project. Due to the section of track in question daytime working was not possible therefore the survey had to be carried out under overnight engineering possessions.

We found the team at Loy to be exceptionally well experienced and highly adaptable to meeting our needs. The team maintained close liaison with all other key stakeholders throughout the commission including engineers and contractors and assisted in agreeing the extent of vegetation clearance works required.  The survey was of high quality and captured all the specific details of the trackwork and key trackside features. It was a pleasure working with Loy and we would be happy to recommend them to others.
